Job Description

ENGIE North America seeks a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst II based in Houston, Texas, operating under a hybrid work model. The role focuses on planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis for ENGIE’s Supply B2B operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to illuminate profitability drivers, risks, and overall performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly results aligned with ENGIE Group standards
  • Develop management reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and analytical commentary for internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews for GBU Management and ENGIE Group Corporate, detailing performance evolution and key drivers
  • Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and data quality
  • Assist the automation and standardization of FP&A processes and tools
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance
  • Support the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and investment decisions
  • Analyze variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods, clearly communicating drivers
  • Partner with Operations, Commercial, Accounting, and other teams to understand performance drivers
  • Translate financial results into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Support decision making with scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects across ENGIE North America, supporting Finance, Operations, Portfolio Management, Sales, and others
  • Coordinate inputs from multiple teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment of data, assumptions, and narratives
  • Contribute to standardized methodologies, frameworks, and best practices across the organization
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance coordination, transparency, and decision making
  • Actively contribute to team objectives, knowledge sharing, and ongoing improvement efforts
  • Provide guidance and support to junior analysts as appropriate

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a similar analytical role
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; Power BI experience is preferred
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, SAC, BFC)
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high English proficiency
  • Ambition to grow expertise in finance and energy and to pursue a leadership path within ENGIE

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for ENGIE's hybrid work policy, requiring a minimum of three days on-site per week

Compensation

Salary Range: $63,300 – $96,945 USD annually. This range reflects the average expected pay for qualified candidates and may vary by geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other legitimate factors. ENGIE complies with applicable minimum wage laws.
