Financial Service Representative
Job Description
Arapahoe Credit Union is seeking a full-time Financial Service Representative (Member Service Representative) for the Englewood Branch. This onsite role (Monday through Friday) combines member support, product engagement, and frontline transaction processing, with a focus on accuracy and clear communication.
The position is well-suited to someone who enjoys building lasting member relationships while helping with new account banking needs, IRA requests, and BSA-related documentation. You will also support the teller line by receiving and processing member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist members and potential members with credit union needs in person and over the phone
- Spot cross-sell opportunities and successfully cross-sell ACU’s products and services
- Support members with IRA requests
- Identify opportunities to improve the department’s operating methods and procedures
- Determine when transactions or situations require BSA documentation and ensure it is completed and submitted
- Assist the teller line by receiving and processing member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all member interactions and transaction processing
Requirements
- Proficiency with new account setup and credit union banking relationship management is required
- Credit union or banking experience is required
- At minimum, one to twelve months of similar or related experience is needed
- IRA background is a plus
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to anticipate and exceed member financial needs through active promotion, sales, and service delivery
- Superior communication skills in person, by telephone, and in writing
- Demonstrate friendly, prompt, professional, and accurate service to members and coworkers
- Maintain a professional work environment and business-like appearance while representing the credit union at all times
- Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness
- Ability to exercise trust and diplomacy, along with normal courtesy and tact
- Work involves extensive personal contact and may be sensitive or personal in nature
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required
Compensation and Schedule
- Location: Englewood, CO (onsite)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time (40 hours)
- Pay: USD 21 to 23 per hour
