Financial Service Representative

The Financial Service Representative (FSR) at Travis Credit Union supports members face to face by delivering accurate services, using CRM to manage loyalty, and helping connect members to financial education and products.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term member relationships through meaningful financial conversations.
• Provide a member experience with value-added membership benefits that distinguishes the credit union.
• Deliver accurate, prompt, efficient, and courteous cash and non-cash transaction services.
• Promote a high-performing team by supporting others’ learning and development.
• Manage member relationships and loyalty using TCU’s Client Relationship Management tool (CRM), with focus on activities aligned to members’ financial goals.
• Initiate proactive financial conversations to identify member and non-member needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Support deposits and lending needs, including consumer and business deposit accounts, consumer and mortgage loan products, small business loan products, cash management services, and online digital solutions.
• Participate in community events that provide financial education and literacy opportunities in served communities.
• Maintain working knowledge of account and membership eligibility requirements.
• Service new and existing accounts, including IRAs, Trusts, and Business Accounts.
• Follow TCU policies and procedures on a daily basis.
• Complete branch operational tasks, including opening/closing procedures, branch balancing, and audits (vault, cash box, negotiable instruments, checks received, and branch credit card advances).
• Assist Branch Management with coin/cash and paperwork preparation for shipments and deliveries.
• Adhere to all banking regulations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong math skills, including rate, ratio, and percentage calculations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for helping people.
• Ability to travel to all TCU locations.
• Flexible schedule, including working Saturdays as needed.
• Reports directly to assigned branch management staff.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of communities served by Travis Credit Union, including: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, and Yolo.
• Must have current authorization to work in the U.S.; Travis Credit Union is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas for this position.

Schedule

Pay & Levels

• Base hourly starting range is commensurate with experience.
• Assoc. Financial Service Representative (Grade 8): $21.57/hour - $26.65/hour.
• Financial Service Representative (Grade 9): $23.49/hour - $29.01/hour (Base plus Incentive).
• Sr. Financial Service Representative (Grade 10): $25.57/hour - $31.58/hour (Base plus Incentive).
• Compensation philosophy considers scope and responsibilities, experience, education/training, and key skills.

Experience Levels

• Assoc. Financial Service Representative: Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Financial Service Representative: Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Sr. Financial Service Representative: Minimum 3 years of related experience.
