Financial Services Specialist
Job Description
The Financial Services Specialist supports sales and service delivery in the branch, helping customers access deposit accounts, payment solutions, digital services, and lending while strengthening banking relationships and connecting opportunities with the appropriate partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales and service delivery in the branch across transaction processing and sales activities.
- Build and expand banking relationships through proactive customer outreach and customer service requests.
- Fulfill customer needs for deposit accounts, payment solutions, digital access products, and lending.
- Identify sales opportunities and refer them to the appropriate bank partner.
- Engage with customers, prospects, and referral sources through proactive outreach and attentive follow-through.
- Represent the Bank in the community by participating in civic and community events to generate additional business and identify potential CRA opportunities.
- Use aligned sales practices to create value for both customers and the bank.
- Appropriately partner, plan, and prepare to ensure conversations include relevant financial guidance for informed decisions.
- Foster collaborative partnerships that deliver value to customers, prospects, and colleagues.
- Initiate conversations to uncover sales and referral opportunities, listen to customer needs, and take prompt action to address immediate requests.
- Optimize performance by seeking coaching, supporting bank initiatives, and leveraging tools to improve activities.
- Comply with regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage risk across credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal areas related to personal interactions, customer transactions, and financial exposures.
- Complete required training by established deadlines.
- Perform general office management duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.
- In roles defined to take deposits, ensure transaction accuracy and operational efficiency, contributing to both individual performance and team performance.

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent with one of the following:
- 2 years' experience in sales or customer service
- 6 months of experience in a customer support role at First Citizens Bank
- Participation in a First Citizens career development program
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred area of experience: Telephone sales
