Fund Finance Lawyer
Job Description
Macquarie’s Fund Finance team supports fund managers and sponsors with tailored financing solutions across complex transactions. This hybrid role in New York, NY gives you the opportunity to structure, negotiate, and execute bespoke fund finance arrangements, working alongside business partners, credit, risk, and compliance to drive outcomes in multi-jurisdictional deals.
What you’ll do
- Advise stakeholders on the structuring and execution of complex fund financing transactions, supporting a broad range of strategic deals.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documentation.
- Provide clear, pragmatic legal guidance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Partner closely with business, credit, risk, and compliance teams to support execution end to end.
- Lead and coordinate external counsel across multiple jurisdictions to support efficient transaction delivery.
What you bring
- JD degree and admission to the New York Bar, with approximately 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team within financial services.
- Strong experience advising on complex, multi-jurisdictional secured financing transactions, including drafting and critical review of complex transaction documentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with fund finance transactions, including subscription, NAV, and hybrid facilities; exposure to private equity and hedge funds through fund formation or financing transactions is helpful.
- Familiarity with derivatives, structured products, and bankruptcy or insolvency considerations is helpful.

Salary range
$260,000 - $300,000 per year (base salary range). Actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The role may also include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
