Lead Data Scientist GenAI, Financial Planning & Analysis - Strategic Analytics
Job Description
Strategic Analytics at Deloitte brings together cloud computing, data science, artificial intelligence, and strategic problem-solving to help executive leaders make critical business decisions. In this GenAI-focused Lead Data Scientist role, you will design, build, deploy, and support AI and generative AI solutions that deliver actionable insights for finance and FP&A stakeholders. The position is based in Houston, TX (onsite) and offers a wage range of $102,500 to $188,900 USD annually.
Within the Finance Financial Planning and Analysis organization, you will work on initiatives that advance innovation and business transformation. Generative artificial intelligence is a key strategic priority for the team, with emphasis on products and solutions intended to create value across the organization and for clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics solutions for business stakeholders
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, application programming interfaces, and model deployment workflows in cloud environments
- Partner with finance, strategy, and operational teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and actionable insights
- Support development of generative artificial intelligence use cases, prototypes, and production-ready products aligned to strategic priorities
- Monitor solution performance, maintain technical documentation, and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and adoption
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in data science, machine learning engineering, data engineering, or software engineering
- 3+ years of experience developing solutions using Python
- 2+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- 2+ years of experience using SQL and working with relational or distributed data platforms
- Ability to travel 0-10% on average based on work, clients, and industries/sectors served
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and quality
- Ability to build and sustain professional relationships, lead projects or workstreams, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

Wage range: $102,500 to $188,900 USD (annual).
