Job Description
The Lead Financial Advisor role, based onsite in Rochester, MN, guides clients toward financial and investment goals while leading a team of financial advisors within Emerald Financial Group, a Thrivent-affiliated practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of financial advisors to drive performance and professional growth.
- Expand the client base and increase assets under management to support business growth.
- Maintain accountability for personal and team revenue goals.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and ethical standards.
- Provide comprehensive financial planning and investment guidance to prospective and existing clients.
- Communicate complex financial strategies clearly and effectively.
- Oversee trade execution, insurance analysis, suitability review, and client account changes with accuracy and care.
- Maintain required licenses, certifications, and continuing education.
- Represent the firm through client meetings, seminars, community engagement, and business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is preferred or equivalent work experience; a minimum of five years in a financial services role is required.
- Securities licenses including Series 7 and 66 or Series 7, 63 and 65, and resident state Life, Health and Annuities registrations.
- Satisfactory background check, fingerprinting, and verification of securities registration and/or insurance licensing, if applicable.

- Base salary is tied to recurring revenue from your book of business, with additional revenue sharing on first-year commissions and advisory fees. $125,000-$175,000 based on experience and active licensure.
