Senior Financial Accountant

As a Senior Financial Accountant with Deloitte in Columbus, OH, you will help shape how leadership plans, forecasts, budgets, and makes decisions using trusted financial analysis. In Global Finance, the team provides research and insight into the financial health of the Deloitte organization worldwide, and this role supports improvement across FP&A and Finance & Administration through stronger planning, reporting, and analytics.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain financial plans, forecasts, budgets, and analyses to support Strategic Growth Offerings leadership with decisions and ongoing financial health.
• Work with offshore resources to produce deliverables for Executing Leadership, providing insights and guidance to support superior client service.
• Synthesize, interpret, and challenge financial and operational data to generate meaningful insights and inform recommendations.
• Coordinate the roll-out of enhancements to management reporting within the businesses, ensuring updates are accurate, clearly communicated, and consistently adopted.
• Support FP&A and Finance & Administration improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
• Create timelines, milestones, and metrics for assigned workstreams, coordinating cross-functionally with Global leadership, Business leadership, FP&A teams (including Finance Business Partners), and teams such as Talent and Strategy while keeping stakeholders updated.
• Contribute to key messaging and presentation materials that communicate the intended story and support business outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders, peers, and senior leaders to gather inputs, align on priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to analysts and staff as appropriate, while operating as an individual contributor.
• Collaborate with peers across other Global business units to share ideas and improve finance routines and processes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant Finance experience, with specific focus on Financial Planning and Analysis
• Core strengths (demonstrated accomplishments): Financial reporting and analysis; planning and forecasting; data analysis, management, and visualization; business and process improvement; project coordination and workstream management
• Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
