Job Description
Databricks seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support Sales Finance with forecasting ownership, scalable modeling, and executive reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve forecasts for bookings, invoicing, collections, and cash, including identification of key risks and opportunities
- Build a deep understanding of Databricks’ business model to generate forecast and business insights
- Analyze performance versus core financial and operational KPIs and communicate insights to Finance leadership
- Create scalable driver-based forecasting models and refine forecasting methods using historical analysis and business insights
- Develop executive-level reporting and presentations that clearly communicate financial results and strategic recommendations
- Drive process improvements through automation and reporting enhancements to support a fast-growing, data-driven organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a comparable field
- 4+ years in corporate finance, management consulting, or investment banking
- Familiarity with the software industry (and SaaS) is a plus
- Experience building financial models independently and preparing recommendations
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Experience simplifying and scaling while supporting a high-growth environment
- Curiosity to learn and solve problems independently
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting to ensure timely deliverables
- Expert in Excel/Google Sheets, including maintaining complex spreadsheets; comfortable working with large datasets and driver-based models
- SQL experience or willingness to learn

- Estimated salary range: USD 123,700 - 189,000 per year
- Zone 1 Pay Range: $137,400—$189,000 USD
- Zone 2 Pay Range: $123,700—$170,050 USD
