Senior Financial Analyst, Vascular Operations

Abbott Laboratories' Vascular Operations site in Temecula, California is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead cost planning, analysis, and reporting for the local leadership team. This role targets cost reduction, scalable growth, and regulatory compliance within the manufacturing environment, with a salary range of USD 78,000 to 156,000 per year. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field and a minimum of four years of relevant experience, with an onsite capacity in Temecula.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the financial and operational performance for the Temecula manufacturing location, compare the Plan and LBE against Actual results for multiple products, analyze spending trends across accounts, and propose actions to optimize outcomes.
• Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and validation of journal entries, and perform actuals analysis versus forecast.
• Collaborate with operations in preparing the Annual Operating Plan and LBE for the manufacturing site.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators as required.
• Monitor, track, and reconcile various balance sheet accounts, including prepaids and accruals.
• Create reports and dashboards with financial information for operating teams aligned to business partner requirements.
• Build tools to monitor and track COGS and analyze trends and comparisons versus other benchmarks.
• Serve as finance leader and support cost reduction initiatives that foster sustainable growth for the Temecula site.
• Interpret financial information on costs, prices, expenses and revenues and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Meet deadlines with minimal supervision and balance multiple workload demands.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
• Minimum 4+ years of experience performing month-end close activities, financial variance analysis, and forecasting
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
