Job Description

EP Wealth Advisors, LLC offers a remote Senior Financial Planner role designed for the Pacific Time Zone, with a competitive base salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 per year. The position supports a flexible work schedule and a comprehensive benefits package that prioritizes health, financial wellbeing, and ongoing professional development. You will nurture client relationships, guide planning processes, and contribute to expanding the firm’s wealth management offerings from a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

As a key member of the team, you will work closely with advisors on clients with assets under management of 2 million dollars or more, and consult with the Financial Planning Manager for higher asset levels and more complex plans. The role emphasizes mentorship, knowledge sharing, and contributions to improving systems and client outcomes across a remote, time-zone aligned workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with advisors on clients with assets under management of $2 million or more.
  • Consult with the Financial Planning Manager for clients with $5 million or more and more complex financial plans.
  • Lead the creation of detailed, customized financial plans covering tax, retirement, estate, investments, and related areas.
  • Review client data, present plans to clients, and assist in preparing action plans based on recommendations.
  • Assist in implementing financial strategies and tracking progress.
  • Manage and streamline the Financial Planning team's processes, including data collection, plan input, scenario generation, internal reviews, and presenting client meetings.
  • Ensure all deliverables are accurate and timely.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve systems, workflows, and processes that enhance client satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Mentor Financial Planning Associates and Financial Planning Interns in planning processes and firm culture, under the Financial Planning Manager.
  • Organize and maintain client documents, ensuring proper upload to systems and databases.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot connections for client personal financial websites.
  • Collaborate on mergers and acquisitions efforts, including staff training and integration.
  • Continuously research financial trends, optimization opportunities, and market changes to keep offerings competitive.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, from onboarding to department training and continuing education opportunities.
  • Pursue additional financial planning designations or certifications aligned with career goals and firm needs.
  • Stay informed on legislative changes and educate the firm on potential impacts.
  • Evaluate and implement updates to financial planning tools and software to maintain efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in developing new service offerings tailored to the regional client base.
  • Lead client seminars and local events to build relationships and provide education.
  • Support meetings to implement financial strategies for clients.
  • Collaborate with local Centers of Influence to implement action plans and ensure strong client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Certification: Certified Financial Planner designation.
  • Experience: 3-7 years in financial services or a related field, focused on financial planning.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with financial planning software and ability to learn new systems; familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, Tamarac, eMoney, Money Guide Pro, Social Security Analyzer, Advisys, Zilculator, Holistiplan, Planner CS, Monday.com.
  • Client Relationship Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and provide tailored financial advice.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex strategies clearly.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to collaborate within a team and build relationships.
  • Independent Worker: Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in financial planning processes and documentation.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to address challenges promptly to maintain client satisfaction and workflow.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Compensation

Base range: USD 90,000 - 120,000 per year
