Job Description

What you’ll do

In this role, you will lead monthly and annual financial planning for Target’s Indirect and 3PL sites and Transportation expenses. You will connect planning outputs across Long-Range Planning, Goal, Forecast, and Actuals, and translate results into strategic insights for senior leaders including the VP of Indirect & Reverse Logistics and the Sr. Director of 3PLs.

  • Drive the monthly and annual planning processes for Indirect and 3PL sites and Transportation expenses, including Long-Range Planning, Goal, Forecast, and Actuals.
  • Evaluate the end-to-end financial impact of the Indirect and 3PL network, with a focus on Transportation costs.
  • Provide financial analysis and governance to support third-party negotiations and assess financial implications.
  • Partner with internal Finance teams to evaluate the impact of New Stores and Remodel investments on the Indirect Network.

What you bring

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, business analytics, or planning.
  • Strong analytical background with a foundational understanding of financial statements, including the income statement, cash flow, and balance sheet.
  • Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Curiosity and a desire to leverage datasets to surface insights and communicate business narratives.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations and presentation materials.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to collaborate across teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, with planning and project management ability and attention to detail.

Work setup and location

This role is located in Minneapolis, MN (hybrid). It will operate as Hybrid/Flex for Your Day based on Target’s needs, with core work performed onsite at Target HQ in MN (Tues, Wed, & Thurs) and virtually depending on role, team, and tasks. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location unless otherwise prescribed by Target.

Compensation

USD 73,000 - 132,000 per year
