Job Description

The Sr. FP&A Analyst role at Sierra Nevada Corporation provides expert analytics, financial oversight, resource planning, and performance measurement for Business Operations. This remote position leads overhead and general and administrative planning, supports strategic financial management and forecasting, and collaborates with subsidiaries to drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert analytics and oversight of financials, resource planning, and performance metrics.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive overhead and G&A planning.
  • Support strategic financial management planning and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate high level financial deliverables to corporate entities.
  • Prepare and present thorough financial reports and analyses for leadership consideration.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
  • Conduct detailed financial and variance analyses to understand performance, identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance financial planning and analysis initiatives.
  • Support development and tracking of Business Area and Subsidiaries financial plans, aligning with long-term objectives and promoting industry best practices in business management.
  • Coordinate with Contracts and Program Management to support FP&A initiatives.
  • Provide leadership-focused financial reporting to Business Area and Subsidiary Leadership, with emphasis on performance and affordability.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate analysts on best practices and financial analysis techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a related field.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience is required; relevant experience may substitute for the educational qualification.
  • A higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports and projections.
  • Ability to leverage advancing financial technology to continuously improve modeling, forecasting, and financial insights.
  • Ability to build and maintain complex financial models.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced understanding of Profit and Loss statements, working capital, and cash flow.
