Job Description
PNC Financial Services Group offers an in-office role within Wealth Management that supports a balanced, thriving work environment. As you build and deliver comprehensive financial plans, you will collaborate closely with PNC Wealth Management Financial Advisors while contributing to client satisfaction and risk-aware decision-making guided by PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
This Wealth Strategist I – Financial Planner position is based in-office at a PNC location in Pittsburgh, PA 15222. The base salary range is $63,750.00 to $106,250.00, with pay varying by geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, consult on, and implement tax, estate, and financial planning matters for clients, with guidance from team members or management.
- Assist in acquiring new clients and support efforts to retain, expand, and deepen existing relationships.
- Conduct research as needed to build tax, estate, and financial analyses and plans.
- Make generally accepted recommendations to the team and, when appropriate, provide recommendations to clients.
- Help retain and grow assets under management by working directly with clients and Centers of Influence, supporting advice and implementation under the guidance of senior team members.
- Identify solutions and PNC services that can enhance existing client relationships.
- Develop new client relationships through networking, prospecting, and referrals.
- Join advisors in client meetings to present the plan and recommendations directly to clients.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong preference for CFP® certification (or progress toward it) and experience with financial planning software such as eMoney or MoneyGuidePro.
- Prior experience as a financial planner, paraplanner, financial advisor, associate advisor, or in a supporting role for an advisor with financial planning.
- Typically requires a university/college degree and 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
