We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations with energy and precision. Responsibilities
- Lead the development, deployment, and monitoring of financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control activities to maximize resource efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage corporate accounting functions including general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and financial statement preparation.
- Perform risk assessments and develop risk-management strategies to protect organizational assets.
- Oversee treasury activities such as cash-flow analysis, investment management, and banking relationships.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, translate financial data for leadership, and support strategic planning initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate, governmental, or nonprofit accounting with solid knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Strong understanding of profit and loss analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Demonstrated ability in financial reporting, interpretation, and compliance management across IFRS, GAAP, and related frameworks.
- Proficiency with financial software systems for bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
- Leadership capability to guide teams through complex financial projects while maintaining high accuracy.
- Excellent analytical skills in risk assessment, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certifications are preferred.
- Experience in a financial role with multiple funding sources including government grants and contracts.
- Working knowledge of Title 2 of the Federal regulations, Uniform Guidance, including Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.
- Experience with Abila/MIP accounting software is preferred.
