Job Description

Venteon is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for an onsite role in the North Vernon, IN area with a leading automotive manufacturing company. In this position, you will support plant financial operations across close activities, cost accounting, reporting, controls, forecasting, and analysis that help guide day-to-day and long-term decisions.

You will work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams, including Inventory and Materials, to ensure accurate accounting and timely insights for both internal plant management and external reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Finance Manager in maintaining the plant standard costing process, including updates to material, labor, and overhead rates and cost roll changes.
Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations and other tasks required for the monthly financial close.
Coordinate and maintain internal financial controls, including compliance with SOX requirements.
Partner with Inventory and Materials teams to support accurate accounting for material transactions, inventory valuation, and physical inventory counts.
Reconcile perpetual inventory records to the general ledger and investigate variances.
Produce financial reports and analyses for plant management and external reporting requirements.
Assist with monthly forecasts and annual operating budgets.
Perform cost studies, profitability analyses, and financial evaluations of new business opportunities.
Develop financial and statistical analyses to identify cost reduction and profit improvement opportunities.
Support internal and external audits and prepare required supporting documentation.
Track capital project expenditures and ensure proper capitalization in line with company policies and accounting standards.
Partner with operations and other departments to provide accounting guidance and financial support for business decisions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Experience with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
Experience working with ERP systems.
