Senior Financial Analyst

Venteon is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for an onsite role in the North Vernon, IN area with a leading automotive manufacturing company. In this position, you will support plant financial operations across close activities, cost accounting, reporting, controls, forecasting, and analysis that help guide day-to-day and long-term decisions.

You will work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams, including Inventory and Materials, to ensure accurate accounting and timely insights for both internal plant management and external reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager in maintaining the plant standard costing process, including updates to material, labor, and overhead rates and cost roll changes.
• Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations and other tasks required for the monthly financial close.
• Coordinate and maintain internal financial controls, including compliance with SOX requirements.
• Partner with Inventory and Materials teams to support accurate accounting for material transactions, inventory valuation, and physical inventory counts.
• Reconcile perpetual inventory records to the general ledger and investigate variances.
• Produce financial reports and analyses for plant management and external reporting requirements.
• Assist with monthly forecasts and annual operating budgets.
• Perform cost studies, profitability analyses, and financial evaluations of new business opportunities.
• Develop financial and statistical analyses to identify cost reduction and profit improvement opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits and prepare required supporting documentation.
• Track capital project expenditures and ensure proper capitalization in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Partner with operations and other departments to provide accounting guidance and financial support for business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
