Robert Half is seeking a Talent Manager (Contract Finance & Accounting) to support onsite operations in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will help grow new and existing client relationships while recruiting and aligning accounting and finance professionals to contract work and contract-to-full-time opportunities.
The position blends business development with talent matching, ongoing engagement management, and candidate support. You will also participate in local networking activities to strengthen Robert Half’s presence in the business community.
What you will do
- Negotiate and develop business with new and current clients.
- Market services through telephone, video, and in-person meetings with hiring managers and decision-makers in accounting and finance departments.
- Recruit, interview, and match qualified accounting and finance professionals to clients’ projects, contract assignments, and contract-to-full-time roles.
- Manage ongoing engagements to deliver strong customer service to both clients and candidates.
- Maintain communication and career guidance for candidates throughout the process.
- Attend local trade association and networking events to increase Robert Half’s visibility in the local market.
Qualifications
- Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration degree preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or banking preferred.
- 2+ years experience in business development within a metrics-driven environment.
- At least one success developing new business in a multi-call, multi-decision-maker context.
- Prior success marketing to and closing with top-level decision makers at small to medium-sized businesses, with a record of cultivating long-term relationships.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with a contact management application (Salesforce preferred/indicated).
- Knowledge and familiarity with accounting and finance department operations.
- Positive attitude and an engaging, professional business approach.

Compensation and benefits
The typical annual salary range is $70,304 to $94,000. The salary is negotiable based on experience and location, and the position is eligible for a bonus tied to performance objectives.
