Job Description

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles is seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to deliver professional financial analysis, budgeting support, and reporting across HACLA operations and capital projects. Under general supervision, the role involves data research, preparing financial reports, assisting with budget development, and ensuring compliance with funding regulations and policies. The position is based onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with a compensation range of USD 111,883 - 137,592 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and administering assigned budgetary programs.
  • Help collect, organize, and evaluate data for use in financial models and budget analyses.
  • Perform or support analytical studies using financial and accounting concepts.
  • Evaluate projected outcomes and alternatives through cost-benefit analysis.
  • Prepare confidential financial reports, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budget, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.
  • Interpret, assess, and analyze financial documents and operating records to offer recommendations for financial improvement and future requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational staff to provide regular and as-needed financial reports supporting program delivery.
  • Supervise a team of support staff, including training and related supervisory duties.
  • Assist with assessing HACLA's budgetary conditions and develop financial forecasts with recommendations for financial planning.
  • Consult with staff at all organizational levels, external partners, and the public to obtain necessary information.
  • Support departmental budget preparation and review.
  • Perform related duties as required.
