Associate, Strategic Finance

The Associate, Strategic Finance role at Flow supports company strategy through advanced financial modeling, strategic planning, and cross-functional decision support. This onsite position in New York, NY focuses on building processes from zero to one while coordinating key reporting and capital markets inputs.

Strategic Finance & Planning

• Partner cross-functionally with business leaders across strategic finance functions, including business plan formation, long-range planning, and evaluation of strategic alternatives
• Support the broader Strategic Finance mandate through long-range planning, board and management presentations, and ad hoc analysis that informs company strategy
• Contribute to future equity and debt financing materials and processes as needed

Reporting, Forecasting, and Performance Drivers

• Own the monthly reporting cadence, including close actuals, budget-vs-actual review, and rolling reforecast
• Connect reported performance to underlying drivers such as revenue, headcount, and spend to support decision-making

Modeling, Unit Economics, and Business Cases

• Build and maintain financial models, unit economics, and business cases for key strategic decisions across the organization
• Deliver quantitative insights that help improve decision-making across teams

AI-Powered Finance Execution

• Use AI tools to develop and enhance existing models, dashboards, and reporting architecture

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 1 to 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategic finance, or an operating role at a high-growth startup
• Strong financial modeling and presentation skills, including comfort building models from a blank sheet
• Demonstrated initiative, ability to work independently, and an owner mindset
• Fluency with AI tools and a genuine interest in applying them to finance and strategy work
• Ability to work in ambiguity with rapidly shifting priorities, with energy for zero-to-one problems
• Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar industries, business models, and technical domains
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to distill complex analysis into clear narratives
• Willingness to work under pressure to produce strong results
• Track record of integrity, sound judgment, and collaboration

Compensation and Location

• Location: New York, NY (onsite)
• Salary: USD 110,000 - 130,000 per year
