Job Description

The Business Development Manager for the Asset Finance Practice supports marketing and BD initiatives within Holland & Knight LLP's Financial Services Section, partnering with practice leaders and firm-wide resources to drive cross-selling and share best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep knowledge of the Asset Finance Practice, its clients, target markets, and relevant trade organizations and publications.
  • Design, execute, and monitor business plans for the assigned practices.
  • Prepare and oversee the practice marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with practice leaders to identify effective marketing activities and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain collateral such as brochures, deal or case lists, practice descriptions, and website content.
  • Schedule and participate in all designated practice meetings.
  • Evaluate opportunities and contribute to the development of responses to RFPs and pitches for new work.
  • Direct research on trends, issues, and target companies within the assigned areas.
  • Work with Public Relations to highlight favorable results, standout attorneys, and notable work products for the assigned practices.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and foster collaboration to leverage successes across groups within the firm.
  • Coordinate with designated professionals to keep CRM and engagement databases up to date for the practices.
  • Manage the team presence at events and conferences, including planning, execution, and follow-up activities.
  • Collaborate with Regional Marketing Managers to organize on-the-ground activities in other offices, such as seminars, events, and sponsorships.
  • Travel to other firm offices and event or conference locations as required.
  • Maintain a regular, predictable work schedule and full engagement during business hours, unless otherwise approved or required by law.
  • Support special projects and duties as assigned.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting.
  • Diplomacy and discretion when interacting with attorneys and clients.
