Job Description

The Credit Analyst II for Equipment Finance plays a key role within Credit Management by conducting industry and financial assessments for current and prospective borrowers. The position supports Lending and Credit decision-making through underwriting analysis, approval documentation, and ongoing monitoring of credit risk and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis for moderately complex loans, industries, and customers.
  • Operate with increased independence under the guidance and review of lead staff.
  • Apply knowledge of loan risk factors to support credit decisions.
  • Research industry-specific information using external sources, which may include borrower conversations, industry publications, reference materials, input from other banks, credit agencies, and online resources.
  • Participate in customer meetings and make direct inquiries for specific customer information based on prior research, experience, and knowledge (travel may be required at times).
  • Support the loan origination process by completing underwriting analysis of borrower character, creditworthiness, and financial condition.
  • Provide analytical support to the lending function.
  • Prepare clear, timely approval memorandums for presentation to appropriate lending and credit authorities.
  • Analyze financial statements and related factors including management profiles, business and product cycles, cash flow capacity, collateral, agings, and other relevant information to identify trends and assess financial strength and credit risk.
  • Prepare written credit analyses and recommendations, including approval, denial, or alternative structures when necessary.
  • Maintain credit files, monitor updated financial information, and prepare updated analysis memos.
  • Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Identify deviations from the Company Commercial Loan Policy in written analysis and become familiar with alternative structures that may help reduce credit risk.
  • Meet operational performance standards related to quality and timeliness.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques.
  • Ability to gather, consolidate, analyze, and summarize data to produce well-considered recommendations with increasing independence.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Developed PC skills, including demonstrated proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality of credit and customer information.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.

Compensation

Pay range: USD 29.00 - 44.00 per hourly.
Pay details: $29.75 - $44.50 USD
