Job Description
Gigapower is building a dedicated AI capability for the Finance organization, and this Embedded AI Engineer role is the bridge between advanced AI delivery and real finance workflows. You will help improve how finance teams plan, forecast, report, and make decisions by bringing AI-powered automations, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agent-style tools directly into day-to-day processes. This position is based in Dallas, TX (remote).
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with Finance, FP&A, and business leaders to understand budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, reporting, and approval workflows.
- Spot and rank high-impact opportunities where AI can enhance financial analysis, increase operational efficiency, and support better decision-making.
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions including automations, RAG applications, agents, copilots, and internal productivity tools.
- Deliver tools that streamline financial reporting, forecasting, cost analysis, and capital approval processes to reduce manual effort.
- Partner with Data Engineering and AI teams to support enterprise-scale platforms and shared data initiatives.
- Create solutions that improve visibility into spend, capital deployment, project economics, and business performance.
- Coach stakeholders on using Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI technologies effectively.
- Track adoption, quality, and business outcomes, then iterate to continuously improve delivered solutions.
- Identify scalable AI use cases that can be implemented across multiple business functions.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience developing software, analytics, automation, data, or AI-based solutions.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents, or automation workflows.
- Strong Python proficiency.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with structured datasets.
- Ability to take solutions from concept through deployment and user adoption.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-starter mindset with comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Enthusiasm for learning complex financial and business processes.
Preferred
- Experience in corporate finance, FP&A, capital planning, financial analytics, or infrastructure cost estimation.
- Experience supporting telecommunications, construction, utilities, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries.
- Experience with Azure, Snowflake, cloud analytics platforms, or modern data environments.
- Experience with change management, user enablement, training, or technology adoption initiatives.
