Job Description

This senior financial analysis role at JPMorganChase is based onsite in Columbus, Ohio. The incumbent will own budgeting, forecasting, product cost modeling and pricing activities, and deliver analyses suitable for executive review to enhance profitability and efficiency. Collaboration with product teams and IT will support automation efforts and the creation of insightful dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual and ongoing financial planning for designated product areas, presenting business rationale and decisions tied to month‑end performance and forecasts; perform reviews and analyses of product financials, consumption and demand planning, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reporting.
  • Support team workflows for monthly activities, special projects, and annual processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with IT partners to ensure ongoing governance, financial best practices, and guidance.
  • Facilitate product strategy development and inform decisions with product owners for technology products and services.
  • Report on key metrics, drive data quality initiatives within the product area, and help define future needs.
  • Compute total cost of ownership, product margins and effective rates using industry‑standard tools.
  • Manage end‑to‑end annual product and pricing changes, including introductions and retirements, and assess impact on customers.
  • Engage with product owners on cost modeling and the creation of annual pricing guidance for all products in the area.
  • Drive productivity in Finance and Business Management and promote efficiencies, including automation within the technology product domain.
  • Oversee reporting, analytics and strategy topics such as location strategy, span of control, and related analytics.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers of results and present monthly reviews to product owners, explaining deviations from forecasts and budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a technically oriented field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with strong spreadsheet capabilities.
  • Experience mining and shaping data sets for analysis.
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, with the ability to challenge peers constructively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
  • Ability to produce ad hoc reporting for senior management.
  • Highly motivated and capable of performing under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player who is trusted as a partner for the Business, Finance, and Finance Planning & Analysis teams.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze large data sets and present concise conclusions.
