Competitive salary in the range of USD 70,000 - 125,000 per year and an onsite role in Boston, MA. Join the Real Estate Investment Group (REIG) Finance team at Morgan Stanley and support a large, multi-sector portfolio with a focus on multifamily and industrial properties. REIG oversees 150+ institutional properties across the U.S., with an aggregate value of more than $10 billion.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the REIG Finance Manager, this Financial Analyst role performs a range of finance functions for REIG. You will contribute to property-level financing workflows, insurance procurement and management, financial analysis and reporting, valuation, and ad-hoc deliverables. The role also involves working closely with asset management, transactions, fund administration, and legal/financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages and supporting analyses
- Support fund-level and property-level financing activities, including fund credit facilities and property mortgage debt
- Assist with real estate mortgage lender reporting preparation and submission
- Support financial reporting, insurance processes, and cash management functions
- Produce ad-hoc financial analysis, financial modeling, and special projects for REIG’s Director of Finance and Director of REIG
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, or a similar field with 0-2 years of experience
- Working toward or having a CPA or CFA is a plus
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to create financial reports and analysis
- Systems-oriented approach with proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills and the ability to work with database systems
- Excel modeling strength preferred
- Ability to provide thoughtful, detailed analysis and maintain strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, with experience interacting with a broad constituency
- Strong customer service orientation for both internal and external customers
