Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst role at Catalent is a 100% onsite position based in Kansas City, MO. The analyst will support overall business health through reporting, forecasting, budgeting, headcount management, and finance controls, including SOX compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements for departments to support ongoing performance monitoring.
• Lead meetings with department heads to develop forecasts, strategy plans, and budgets, and to support implementation of leadership changes.
• Serve as the finance representative on projects aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy within finance processes.
• Manage current and forecasted headcount across the year.
• Track and report revenue on a weekly basis.
• Review purchase orders to ensure proper coding and funding.
• Support product costing and manufacturing accounting.
• Provide support for SOX compliance.
• Create and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of experience in finance and accounting.
• At least one year of experience supporting manufacturing and distribution entities.
• Strong familiarity with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
• Understanding and ability to apply finance controls and SOX regulations.

Technologies

• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as JDE and OneStream.
