Financial Analyst

Oldcastle Mountain West Division is hiring a Financial Analyst to support the West Division through budgeting, forecasting, and decision-ready analysis. In this Ogden, UT hybrid role, you will partner with divisional leadership and connect regularly with the corporate office in Atlanta, GA, focusing on high-quality insights and continuous improvement to reporting and processes.

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will report to the Division FP&A Director and contribute to both day-to-day reporting and longer-term planning. The position requires close collaboration with the West Division leadership team and operating businesses, as well as support for corporate reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative analysis of operational and financial data using various programs, reports, and tools.
• Prepare financial reports for internal use.
• Coordinate deep-dive analysis of operating company variances and provide clear explanations.
• Identify trends and provide insights using reporting information.
• Develop and suggest new KPIs or reporting formats to improve reporting quality.
• Collect, analyze, and report financial data to the division and Corporate Headquarters.
• Prepare commentary for financial results and present to leaders and Corporate Headquarters.
• Assist in preparation and review of capex proposals.
• Participate in the review of region budget and forecasts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Prepare division budget and forecasts for P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Consolidate division financial data for five-year strategic plans.
• Prepare presentation materials for division-level meetings.
• Complete ad-hoc analysis as required by senior management.
• Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities to increase productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, finance, or accounting.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and validate financial and performance data and communicate financial information and trends in multiple formats.
• Proven ability to manage workflows with multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Business Intelligence (BI) SAP experience.
• Previous experience in accounting.
• Ability to speak a second language.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
