Job Description

In this role, you will solve complex business problems through forecasting, planning, and financial modeling across key areas including income, profitability, liquidity, capital, leverage, asset and liability management, and operating expenses. You will also mentor teammates on advanced financial processes while ensuring work aligns with regulatory and compliance requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Lead team or process delivery for financial forecasts and plans for a business area or function, including overseeing implementation and model improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and guide complex financial reports, analysis, and cost benefit analysis to support internal and external management decision-making.
- Interpret complex financial information and provide recommendations to business leaders while implementing solutions tied to financial and operational opportunities.
- Support business goals by delivering value-added decision support for customers and business partners across the organization.
- Own product-related assignments including product pricing, product profitability, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Partner with senior management and company leadership to promote innovation and productivity and support USAA’s mission.
- Apply advanced knowledge of the business, its products and processes, serving as a resource for escalated issues.
- Ensure risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
- 6 years of experience conducting complex financial or accounting analysis and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders; OR an advanced degree in a related field with progress toward a CPA or CFA designation plus 4 years of financial or accounting analysis or related work experience.
- Experience using financial and accounting technologies.
- Ability to communicate key financial and accounting concepts.
- Finance or accounting experience in a financial services environment.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Excel for significant financial data analysis.
- Experience producing financial reports and recommendations based on data.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience applying and adhering to financial regulations and compliance.

Work Location & Flexibility
- Hybrid role requiring presence in the office 4 days per week.
- Location options include San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Compensation
- Salary range: USD 103,450 - 197,730 per year.
- Pay is determined within the range based on experience and market data; actual salary may vary by location.
- Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
