Financial Data Analyst III-Supply Chain FP&A

Maxonic, Inc. is seeking a Financial Data Analyst III - Supply Chain FP&A for an on-site, W2 contract engagement in Boise, Idaho. The role provides financial guidance, analytics, and actionable insights to the Distribution organization, developing financial models, reports, and dashboards while serving as a finance business partner to corporate and field distribution teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Vice President, Director, and Manager of Supply Chain Finance to create key performance reports that compare actual results to plan and forecast
• Examine KPIs, explain trends, and identify risks and opportunities
• Produce monthly business reviews with clear, actionable analysis and recommendations
• Advance a data-driven approach to identifying variances between actual results and planned or forecasted performance
• Extract data from primary and secondary systems and build, maintain, and enhance complex databases
• Develop financial models, dashboards, and BI tools to evaluate complex scenarios and strategic initiatives
• Quantify financial and operational impacts to the P&L
• Act as a finance business partner to the Distribution organization at both corporate and field levels
• Provide analytical support for ad hoc requests, special projects, and value-added improvement initiatives
• Proactively identify opportunities to deliver analytical solutions aligned with business objectives
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on people efficiency, process effectiveness, automation, and tool utilization
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, analysis, and data management processes
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines
• Follow through on identified issues and deliver timely, accurate financial insights

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, financial modeling, finance, accounting, or a related field
• Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and report on large financial data sets
• Proven problem-solving skills using structured analytical frameworks
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• SQL / Snowflake or similar analytical data warehouses
• Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools
• Oracle or similar ERP systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of the organization
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills
• Customer-focused, well-organized, and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
