Job Description

KBR is seeking a Financial Management Analyst to support Joint Interagency Task Force 401 in the Alexandria, Virginia area. This on-site role centers on Defense Travel System administration, DoW financial processes, budgeting, reporting, and travel fund management within a DoD-focused environment. The position blends financial analysis with travel and procurement workflow support to help sustain mission readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Defense Travel System administrator for the command and review travel documents before submission to the Government DTS Approver.
  • Validate travel authorizations and vouchers for accuracy and regulatory compliance prior to routing.
  • Coach and guide organization personnel on travel procedures and the DTS workflow to ensure proper execution.
  • Assist with the Government Purchase Card program administration for the command.
  • Operate the Defense Agency Initiative system to process, monitor, and report financial transactions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and briefings on fund status, obligations, disbursements, travel activity, and resource requirements.
  • Advise program managers and leadership on current fund availability and obligation status.
  • Support budget estimation during the POM cycle by leveraging historical data from legacy and current systems, analyzing requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, and following statutory and regulatory guidance.
  • Manage travel fund commitments, obligations, and disbursements; reconcile with plans and resolve issues related to missing disbursements and unliquidated or negative obligations.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with DTS.
  • Secret security clearance required.
  • Knowledge of policies, processes, procedures, and regulations governing DoW travel.
  • Experience in financial analysis principles, concepts, and techniques.

Job summary

KBR is seeking a Financial Management Analyst to support Joint Interagency Task Force 401. The JIATF-401 mission focuses on rapidly fielding counter small unmanned aerial systems to address near-term and mid-term UAS threats. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Alexandria, VA. The successful candidate will possess deep Defense Travel System knowledge and prior DTS reviewer experience, along with working familiarity with DoW travel contexts.
