Job Description
This Senior Paraplanner position in Columbus, OH supports personalized wealth management by turning client information into customized, goal-based financial plans. TPM Placement is seeking a finance professional to collaborate with the team, deliver advice in client meetings, and maintain up-to-date knowledge across tax, estate, and capital markets.
The role offers an annual salary range of USD 110,000 - 130,000 and is based onsite in Columbus, OH. With a minimum of 3 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree required, you will build increasing independence over the first six months.
What you’ll do
- Gather and analyze client data to create financial plans and coordinate planning deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings and provide investment and planning guidance to clients.
- Profile clients to identify investment and lending needs, then coordinate investment, fiduciary, and lending solutions to match those needs.
- Generate investment ideas using firm research, team guidelines, and asset allocation strategies aligned to each client’s risk profile and objectives.
- Coordinate with team members to collect planning information and file or upload details into MoneyGuidePro.
- Act as a planning topic expert by staying current on tax law, estate regulations, and capital market trends.
- Develop full autonomy within six months, including reaching out to clients directly and running client meetings independently.
- Support tax and estate planning work, including insurance gap analysis and beneficiary reviews.
- Work directly with clients by crafting thoughtful financial plans and delivering personalized wealth management advice.
- Maintain strong compliance by understanding and following firm rules and the requirements of applicable regulatory agencies.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Professional licenses: Series 7, 63 and 65 (or 66) required
- Obtain an insurance license within 12 months of hire
- 3 - 5 years of industry experience required
- 3 - 5 years of financial planning experience required
- Experience with MoneyGuidePro or eMoney

Preferred experience
