Job Description
Work in an FP&A role built for impact with CSAA Insurance Services, Inc., supporting operating budgets and senior leadership decisions through advanced financial modeling and operational analysis. This remote (Washington, DC) position pairs complex analytical work with close collaboration across Finance and the business.
Compensation is USD 105,345 - 140,550 per year with location-based structure, plus eligibility for bonus and a strong retirement benefit. Most employees hold Home-Flex roles, working primarily from home with flexibility to work from various locations, including CSAA offices.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with senior leaders and internal Finance partners to understand operations, objectives, and strategies, then develop complex financial models that improve operational outcomes and financial decision-making.
- Contribute to preparing complex components of operating budgets, including pricing assumptions and 3rd party agreements, and address items involving legal entities; identify and correct errors and faulty assumptions as needed.
- Align with cross-functional teams and senior leadership on priorities, address emerging trends, and strengthen the connection between Finance and the business.
- Provide complex financial and operational analysis to senior management and internal clients, building reports that influence results and behaviors.
- Develop and present recommendations, strategies, and actions for senior and executive management, including participation in issue resolution and process improvement opportunities; may create senior management presentations.
- Quickly assess and interpret financial reports, alerting leadership to significant and subtle issues and trends, and develop solutions and alternative approaches.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of related professional experience, including 5+ years supporting FP&A / Treasury functions.
- Advanced analytical skills to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Strong mathematics, organizational, and business writing skills.
- Project management skills to complete detailed data assignments and accurately interpret operational, product, and financial concepts for the business unit and AAA.
- Experience applying operational and product/financial measures and models, business planning, cost/benefit analysis, project management, and senior-level analysis.
- Advanced interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
- Ability to lead and provide training and guidance to others.

- Advanced understanding of AAA business strategy and the ability to apply operational/product/financial concepts to the Personal Lines division
- Strong understanding of developing operational models and related reporting software (Oracle experience preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of insurance industry trends, regulatory requirements, and business practices, including insurance products, distribution channels, and risk management strategies
- Ability to negotiate, collaborate across functions, and deliver results through others
- Ways of contributing to culture (for example, participation in employee resource groups or volunteering)
- Willingness to live cultural norms, including using cameras when it matters (such as helping onboard new team members and building relationships)
- Ability to travel as needed for divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings
