Financial Wellness Associate
Job Description
Financial Wellness Associates (FWA) in a hybrid branch team split time between day-to-day client service and transaction support, plus deeper client conversations to uncover needs and deliver guidance.
Responsibilities
- Support a strong client experience culture by being present with clients and teammates and recognizing the impact of service on personal, professional, and financial outcomes.
- Accept, accurately process, and complete all financial service transactions while looking for opportunities during the transaction to strengthen and expand the client relationship.
- Serve as a resource for identifying and resolving more complex client servicing issues.
- Listen for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations, then transition clients as appropriate to a Banker or handle individually; provide effective, customized financial wellness recommendations.
- Meet individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations consistently.
- Participate in and occasionally facilitate in-person morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
- Follow compliance, audit, and security procedures; balance cash drawer within balancing guidelines.
- Build strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners, focusing on client acquisition and deepening existing relationships; manage internal and external centers of influence.
- Review and maintain knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings.
- Work Saturdays as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice.
- Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including professional conduct, ethical business practices, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of KeyBank clients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required).
- Experience developing current and new client relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources through tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking (required).
- Experience in cash handling (required).
- General understanding of PC use with Windows-based applications and a calculator (required).
- Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, and web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms and capabilities within Key (required).

Licenses and Certifications
- Notary License within 180 days (preferred)
Compensation and Benefits
- Base hourly rate range: $19.23 - $28.37 per hour
- Placement within the pay range may vary based on skills, experience, and geographic location
- Incentive compensation may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives
