Job Description
As a Financial Wellness Associate with KeyBank National Association, you’ll support a hybrid branch team in Poulsbo, WA, balancing hands-on client service with transaction support and structured outreach. The role focuses on delivering a strong client experience while identifying opportunities to connect clients with the right financial wellness guidance.
Role Overview
This hybrid position splits time between servicing and transaction support (70%) and engaging clients in deeper conversations to uncover needs and provide financial wellness guidance (30%). You’ll help drive branch performance through coordinated, high-impact activities and proactive outreach both in person and by phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Reinforce a client experience culture by being present with clients and teammates and recognizing the personal, professional, and financial impact of day-to-day interactions.
- Accept, process, and accurately complete financial service transactions while identifying opportunities during interactions to deepen and expand relationships.
- Serve as a resource to help identify and resolve more complex client servicing issues.
- Listen for financial wellness signals during client conversations, then transition clients appropriately (individually or to a Banker) and provide effective, tailored financial wellness recommendations.
- Meet individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations consistently.
- Participate in and occasionally facilitate in-person morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
- Follow compliance, audit, and security procedures, including balancing a cash drawer within balancing guidelines.
- Build strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners, focusing on client acquisition and deepening current client relationships, and managing internal and external centers of influence.
- Maintain current knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay aligned with available offerings.
- Work Saturdays as directed by management.
- Perform other assigned duties as requirements change, with or without notice, while complying with all KeyBank policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required).
- Experience developing current and new client relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking (required).
- Experience handling cash (required).
- General understanding of PC use with Windows-based applications and a calculator (required).
- Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, and web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on Key’s digital platform capabilities (required).

Compensation and Benefits
- Base hourly rate range: $19.23 - $28.37 per hour
- Placement within the pay range may vary based on skills, experience, and geographic location
- Incentive compensation may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives
