GPC Finance Analyst

General Motors is seeking a GPC Finance Analyst to join the Transact to Deliver team in Warren, MI, operating in a hybrid setup. The role centers on product cost finance processes and analytics, driving standardization and transformation across enterprise systems through cross-functional collaboration with finance, IT, and business units.

Responsibilities

• Oversee critical portions of the Global Product Cost solution and the Transact to Deliver transformation roadmap, applying program management practices across planning, design, UAT, training, change management, implementation, customer experience, and hypercare.
• Evaluate current-state processes and define future-state system requirements to boost efficiency, standardization, and customer experience, aiming for best-in-class performance.
• Cultivate a data-driven culture by identifying and building advanced analytics solutions, incorporating AI to enhance outcomes.
• Address process pain points using a fit-to-standard approach wherever feasible.
• Engage with leadership and present ideas and recommendations clearly.
• Create and deliver training materials for a global audience.
• Develop standardized reporting tools and dashboards to improve the customer experience.
• Foster relationships and effective collaboration with Transformation, Information Technology, Business Units, Controllership, and Finance teams.
• Provide user support and drive adoption of new toolsets and technology across the organization, including go-live and hypercare support.
• Lead or support special projects involving process improvements, scope definition, stakeholder communications, deliverables, and timeline management.
• Coordinate integration across transformation teams and the broader ecosystem.
• Support finance and accounting processes, including forecast development, bridge analysis, variance analysis, and performance reporting to illuminate results, risks, and opportunities.
• Support GPC Analytics, including dashboard maintenance, issue resolution, data validation, user support, and ongoing improvements to reporting capabilities.
• Partner with the CPURAM team to align priorities, resolve cross-functional issues, support analytics needs, and drive process improvements across the product cost ecosystem.
• Translate finance and accounting needs into reporting, analytics, and system requirements to improve decision-making and operational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, IT, or business administration.
• 5+ years of overall finance or accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA financial system functionality.
• Experience with Power BI dashboards and workflows.
• Finance and accounting system implementation experience.
• Experience in forecast preparation, bridge analysis, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of teamwork and partnerships.
• Ability to act as a change agent, using influence and communication to build support for challenging changes.
• Skill in transforming current processes and designing a future state aligned with a new operating model.
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrix environment.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills compatible with all management levels.
• Comfort with asking tough questions respectfully and maintaining composure under challenge, including from leadership.
• Ability to anticipate risks and issues and plan actions accordingly.
• Advanced computing skills and technology affinity (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask under tight deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Proven experience supporting analytics and reporting solutions within a finance or accounting setting.

Location
