Job Description

Ceres Tag is hiring a Junior Financial Analyst to support the financial operations of its U.S. business from the Overland Park, KS office. This full-time onsite role offers an annual salary of $65,000 to $75,000 and includes dental, health, and vision insurance, along with paid time off. You will work closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams while helping strengthen reporting, forecasting, and month-end processes.

What you’ll do

  • Support financial analysis and modeling to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with the development of budgets and financial forecasts for the U.S. business.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and communicate results.
  • Help with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and execute weekly supplier payments.
  • Monitor customer payments and coordinate with the Commercial and Logistics teams.
  • Support U.S. banking and insurance activities.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting across profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop departmental budgets and monitor performance.
  • Support supply chain and logistical processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and operational processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • 2 years of finance or general accounting experience (industry or public accounting) (required).
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Collaborative attitude, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Company’s Overland Park office.

How success is measured

  • Build a strong understanding of Ceres Tag’s U.S. financial operations.
  • Deliver accurate, timely reporting and analysis.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Develop relationships with colleagues across finance, commercial operations, and logistics.
  • Increase ownership of financial processes as knowledge and confidence grow.
