Job Description
SCOTT HERRMANN SHORELINE GROUP offers a collaborative, team‑oriented environment in Madison, WI with a strong focus on work‑life balance and meaningful client impact. This onsite role provides growth potential through training and licensing support, along with competitive pay of $20 to $28 per hour. The Licensed Office Professional supports Financial Advisors by handling licensed administrative tasks, assisting clients, and performing a range of financial and administrative work to ensure excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Act as the front line for clients by answering calls, greeting visitors, and delivering courteous, responsive service.
- Handle client inquiries, research account questions, and provide timely updates.
- Share fund values and address securities related questions; if licensed, assist with variable insurance and annuities.
- Perform daily administrative duties such as managing office supplies, handling mail, and maintaining office systems.
- Draft and coordinate routine correspondence, reports, and select projects as needed.
- Support client engagement by scheduling meetings for Financial Advisors with clients.
- Maintain the contact management system with client preferences and key details.
- Assist Financial Advisors with meeting preparation, follow-ups, and product change support.
- Contribute to marketing and outreach efforts, including direct mail, seminars, fraternal activities, and client events.
- Manage client financial data and support research for securities recommendations or investment guidance.
- Process securities trade orders, including unsolicited trades when licensed to do so.
- Explain and assist with insurance coverage inquiries, including issuing certificates, endorsements, and contracts.
- Support variable insurance and annuities transactions if licensed.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as business needs and licensure allow.
Requirements
- Positive, service‑minded approach with a genuine enjoyment of helping people.
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience within a financial services organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Tech‑savvy, proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willing to learn additional financial tools.
- Life and Health insurance license is required.
- Securities licenses Series 7 and 66, or Series 6 and 63, are required.
