Job Description

An Atlanta based, owner-led private business advisor role awaits a hands-on leader who can translate strategy into measurable gains on the ground. Cogent Talent Solutions is seeking an Onsite Business Consultant to partner directly with owner operators, driving operational enhancements, stronger financial controls, and increased profitability through on-site engagement and full lifecycle project leadership, with 100 percent domestic travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the client relationship from first engagement through to defined, measurable outcomes in operations and finance.
  • Create durable, quantifiable value for clients as reflected in income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and overall client quality of life.
  • Define and communicate the work required to achieve client objectives, coordinating deliverables on their behalf.
  • Maintain clear, concise communication with the assigned Assistant Director or Senior Project Director.
  • Lead on-site transformation efforts with a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves approach and active leadership.
  • Drive improvements in financial performance across engagements.
  • Guide organizational change initiatives to ensure sustainable adoption.
  • Coach owners and employees to embrace new practices and operating models.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of the consulting engagement from inception to conclusion.
  • Mentor owners and stakeholders at all levels to understand, adopt, and sustain new ways of thinking, operating, and leading.

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel on-site with clients on a 100 percent travel basis.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • At least five years of consulting experience with a proven track record of delivering client value.
  • Timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and current auto insurance.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, financial software, dashboards, CRM systems, and project-management software.

Contract terms
