Job Description

This hybrid remote position is based in Kingston, New York, with Ulster Savings Bank, part of Ulster Financial Group. The role centers on advising clients and delivering a range of financial products, including mutual funds, annuities, fee-based offerings, stocks, bonds, and life insurance, while analyzing income, assets, investments, and debts to tailor solutions that meet individual needs and drive commissions. The salary range for this role runs from $31,200 to $100,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and evaluate a client’s income, assets, investments, and liabilities to determine the best-fitting financial products in line with their circumstances.
  • Promote and service the bank and its subsidiaries’ financial products and services.
  • Achieve a minimum of $250,000 in annual gross commissions.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with branch managers and staff.
  • Lead product and referral training during Branch HOOPLA Meetings.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all customer interactions.
  • Develop and service your book of business, scheduling at least 20 new appointments each week and continually generating new and assigned lead streams both inside and outside the institution.
  • Keep the Financial Services Officer informed of customer issues and potential situations.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to new and existing clients.
  • Continuously prospect to create new lead streams within and beyond the organization.
  • Drive financial performance through revenue growth, goal attainment, and strong customer service.
  • Meet a monthly cross-selling goal of at least one referral.

Requirements

  • Licenses: Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Life Insurance License are required; Cetera background check is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to travel and work independently.
  • Capable of analyzing data and applying discretion in decisions affecting the Bank and its subsidiaries.
  • Ability to promote the Bank’s financial products and advise on suitable solutions for clients’ needs.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Bi-lingual skills are a plus.

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities
