Senior Accounting and Finance Consultant (External Audit experience required!)

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
• Oversee consolidations and controllership activities
• Manage divestitures and carve-outs
• Prepare for external audits and drive remediation efforts
• Oversee financial reporting and, when needed, restatements
• Coordinate GL and month-end close cycles
• Support IPO readiness programs
• Lead M&A integration efforts
• Produce management reporting and drive process improvements
• Provide project management across engagements
• Conduct tax research and reporting activities
• Assist with restructuring projects and SEC and other regulatory reporting
• Support SOX, internal audit, and controls frameworks
• Lead system implementations and advanced technical accounting tasks
• Create value for clients by enhancing profits, cash flow, and liquidity planning
• Engage in a diverse range of client projects with varying durations, industries, and focal points
• Apply a combination of experience and intangible skills to deliver superior results
• Approach engagements with ambition, courage, enthusiasm, and professional maturity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of three years in external auditing
• Two or more years of external audit experience from large CPA firms, including at least one busy season as a senior; Big Four or top-tier firm experience preferred; candidates with external audit plus corporate accounting/finance at a large public company will be considered
• CPA or progress toward licensure preferred
• Corporate accounting and/or finance experience at a large public corporation is a plus
• Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills with solid knowledge of US GAAP and FASB standards
• Proficient desktop computing skills; advanced Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.) desirable
• Clear career progression and demonstrated job stability
