Senior Analyst - Corporate Finance & Strategy

As a Senior Analyst in Boston Consulting Group’s ValueScience Center (VSC), you will support Corporate Finance & Strategy work that applies valuation and corporate finance expertise to real client needs. The role sits within BCG VSC and contributes to case efforts, workshops, and proposals through financial modeling and analysis, including shareholder return (TSR), corporate valuation, and financial benchmarking.

Based in San Francisco, CA, this onsite position focuses on turning financial questions into clear, high-quality insights and presentations for client teams. You will also collaborate closely with BCG teams and project leaders to embed your work into proposals and client deliverables.

What You’ll Do

• Support client cases, workshops, and proposals by conducting analyses including TSR (shareholder return analysis), corporate valuation, and financial benchmarking.
• Build and refine financial models to evaluate the capital markets impact of strategic plans, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and financial policies such as debt issuance and dividend policy changes.
• Share topic and sector acumen and develop points of view within the firm.
• Partner with BCG consulting teams, managers, and project leaders to produce insights relevant to clients’ financial characteristics and ensure analysis is incorporated into projects and proposals.
• Create high-quality client presentations based on your analysis work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic achievement; 1-2+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investing, and/or consulting.
• Demonstrated interest in corporate finance and valuation.
• Strong mathematics and analytical skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Client service-mentality, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative, team player mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple parallel tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, credibility, and conduct aligned with the highest ethical standards.

Compensation

• Base salary range (San Francisco): USD 107,500 - 120,000 per year.
• Total compensation for US locations includes base salary, an annual discretionary performance bonus (up to 16%), a retirement contribution starting at 5% and moving to 10% after 2 years, and a market-leading benefits package.
• The base salary range is estimated and specific placement depends on experience and skill set; it is noted that new employees are not commonly hired at the high end of the range.

Client and consulting team members are primarily based in North America, while collaboration may extend to clients and teams throughout the world.
