Senior Financial Advisor - Experienced Professionals
Job Description
First Command is seeking an independent contractor Senior Financial Advisor to support existing clients and help guide military families toward financial security. This onsite role in Tucson, AZ centers on advanced, personalized planning, ongoing client service, and practice growth through referrals within the military community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and adapt to each client’s changing financial objectives across wealth accumulation, preservation, and legacy planning.
- Conduct regular client meetings to evaluate current circumstances, monitor progress, and update plans in response to life events, economic conditions, and regulatory changes.
- Design and deliver sophisticated financial plans that combine investment management, retirement income planning, tax strategies, insurance solutions, daily financial management, and estate considerations tailored to military families.
- Maintain long-term relationships through a high-touch service approach focused on clarity, confidence, and responsiveness.
- Strengthen client trust by providing consistent guidance and value that supports well-informed decision-making.
- Develop relationships with advocates and centers of influence in both the local and military community to generate referrals and related opportunities.
- Meet performance goals by delivering personalized financial strategies, generating revenue, and building durable client relationships.
- Grow the practice through strong referral networks, with an emphasis on the military community, while also identifying new opportunities and deepening engagement with current clients.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in financial services, including a strong history of building and retaining client relationships.
- Proficiency in portfolio and wealth management, with the ability to incorporate financial products into a long-term planning strategy.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills to connect with clients and build trust through sustained engagement.
- Motivation and discipline to operate independently, including flexible working hours and the potential to earn unlimited income based on commissions and performance-based incentives.
- Military experience or affiliation is strongly preferred.
Licensing & Certifications
- Required: Series 7 & 66 (or 6, 63, 65) and Life & Health license
- Preferred: CFP®, ChFC®, or RICP® designations
