Senior Financial Services Representative
Job Description
On-site Senior Relationship Banker role in Escondido, CA, focused on member service, account growth, and support for consumer and real estate lending workflows.
Responsibilities
- Proactively greet and assist members to deliver exceptional, relationship-based service
- Open new accounts and add additional products for both new and existing members
- Process and fund consumer loan applications; assist with real estate loan applications
- Assess member needs and recommend suitable products and services
- Generate qualified referrals to business partners, including Investments and Auto Loan specialists
- Follow up with members via calls to confirm satisfaction and uncover additional support opportunities
- Promote digital banking solutions and educate members on self-service tools
- Resolve account inquiries by completing account research and follow-up as needed
- Meet or exceed individual and branch sales and referral goals consistently
- Support branch sales initiatives, community events, and business development activities
- Act as a resource and mentor to Tellers, Universal Service Representatives, and Financial Services Representatives
- Provide supervisory overrides and support while helping minimize risk and maintain compliance
- Share best practices and reinforce service and sales standards
- May serve in a supervisory capacity when branch management is absent
- Prepare account and loan documentation in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Support branch opening and closing procedures, certifications, and balancing activities
- Assist with cash, vault, and dual-control processes
- Ensure compliance with security procedures, banking regulations, and BSA requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of products, services, policies, and industry regulations
- Complete required compliance and professional development training
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a bank, credit union, or financial institution
- Loan/account experience: At least 12 months opening new accounts and processing or referring loan applications
- Proven success in sales, referrals, and relationship building
- Computer skills: Intermediate skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, member-focused environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Real estate lending knowledge or experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience with Symitar or similar core banking systems
- Notary Public Commission or willingness to obtain
- Ability to obtain Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) registration within one year of hire
