Job Description

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Internal Audit Associate to join its Commercial and Investment Banking Finance Audit team in Jersey City, onsite. The role focuses on guiding the audit lifecycle and assessing the effectiveness of financial controls, regulatory reporting, and capital-related processes within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all stages of the audit cycle, including planning, testing, control evaluation, documenting workpapers, drafting audit issues and reports, and following up on issue closure. Ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with global Audit colleagues to identify emerging control issues early and report them promptly to Audit management and business stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and other control groups while maintaining independence.
  • Stay informed about evolving industry, accounting, and regulatory developments affecting CIB Finance, and pursue opportunities for ongoing learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to self-development, undertaking stretch assignments to prepare for greater responsibilities and career growth.
  • Respect the confidential nature of Internal Audit communications and protect information in line with firm policy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of internal or external auditing or operational risk experience, which can be combined with relevant business experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience applying internal audit methodology to delivery and execution.
  • Strong understanding of internal control concepts and ability to assess control adequacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build credibility and collaborate with senior business and control partners.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities.
  • Understanding of financial risks and controls.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

Salary: USD 99,750 - 145,000 per year
