Job Description

Nationwide offers a hybrid role in Grandview Heights, OH with a salary range of $62,500 - $115,500 per year. This position supports an exempt work arrangement in a normal office environment, with a direct reporting line to a Manager/Director. Nationwide also expects team members to consistently demonstrate the Nationwide Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure balancing and reconciliation of various cases and suspense accounts.
  • Collect, maintain, and support adjusting entries and monthly balances.
  • Complete sophisticated transactions required to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Analyze financial reports and statements.
  • Review and approve requests for manual payments.
  • Provide customer service by demonstrating an understanding of customer needs, emphasizing timely responses, and initiating appropriate follow-up.
  • Train and cross-train other team members on work functions and processing procedures.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain procedure materials and manuals.
  • Serve as a technical resource to answer questions from other departments.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Accounting background strongly preferred.
  • Undergraduate studies in accounting, finance, or a related subject.
  • Four years of accounting, finance, tax reporting, or customer service experience.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate problems and determine appropriate actions.
  • Ability to analyze, discover, and tackle processing problems.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external sources.
  • Ability to set work priorities that align with established standards.
