Sr. Finance Analyst

The Sr. Finance Analyst - Plant role at Amcor in Joplin, MO onsite provides daily accounting support, financial reporting, and plant close activities for the division, with emphasis on analysis, controls, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety-first behavior in all duties, fostering a culture that prioritizes safety.
• Prepare plant and corporate reporting packages for review by the Controller.
• Manage fixed assets accounting and related controls.
• Oversee inventory accounting and related processes.
• Handle revenue accounting, including sales and customer rebates.
• Oversee standard costing and variance analysis.
• Coordinate government reporting requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform expense and trend analysis to identify key drivers.
• Assist the Plant Controller with the annual budgeting process.
• Develop and run financial reports and ad hoc queries for analysis, tracking, and cross-functional use.
• Analyze operating and financial results to identify trends and drivers.
• Interpret and communicate financial results to business partners.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing financial and operational information.
• Demonstrate accuracy, timeliness, and accountability in daily work.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance business understanding and performance.
• Uphold the Amcor Way in all interactions and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related business roles.
