Sr. Financial Analyst

Senior Financial Analyst role focused on supporting Amazon Music's Music Merch business and Creator Services from an onsite position in Culver City, CA. The role centers on evaluating deals, delivering performance reports and insights, and building scalable financial processes to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual planning and budgeting cycles and associated deliverables, ensuring financial discipline and adherence to policy.
• Produce financial metrics, reporting, and analyses tied to music licensing deals.
• Own and enhance critical elements of deal valuation models and royalty reporting within Creator Services.
• Engage in strategic initiatives characterized by a high degree of ambiguity.
• Manage end-to-end projects from inception to completion, including data collection, manipulation, modeling, problem solving, and presenting insights and recommendations.
• Partner with multiple stakeholders across the business to develop action plans and assess results.

Requirements

• 1+ years of finance experience.
• 2+ years applying key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science).
• Proficiency with standard tools including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL.
