Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecasts by gathering assumptions, analyzing trends, and improving forecast accuracy in collaboration with functional leaders.
- Coordinate department budget submissions and consolidate data for reporting and analysis.
- Support the preparation of leadership presentations, reporting packages, and supporting schedules.
- Conduct monthly SG&A variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Investigate and explain significant variances, trends, and the drivers behind performance.
- Produce monthly department reports with clear commentary and variance analysis.
- Support accrual reviews and expense validation processes.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure SG&A reporting accuracy and completeness.
- Create ad hoc reports to inform leadership decision making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in financial reporting and planning.
- Support automation initiatives related to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and data consolidation.
- Review opportunities to automate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis using Power BI or other tools.
- Partner with IT to implement automation and system enhancements.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor SG&A performance, KPIs, and trends.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to manage SG&A expenses and improve financial performance.
- Support business cases, ROI analyses, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Present financials and insights to Finance leadership and functional leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of FP&A concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with NetSuite, NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, and/or Power BI is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Initiative to gain insights and implement process improvements and efficiencies where needed.
