Sr Financial Analyst - Hybrid or Remote

Optum is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver FP&A support, month-end close, forecasting, and long-range modeling within Optum Whole Health Solutions' biometrics leadership, in a hybrid or remote role based in Eden Prairie, MN.

Responsibilities

• Address complex, high-impact financial challenges across the organization
• Collaborate with Product teams to shape business strategy
• Translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences
• Develop and maintain financial reports showing actual results, forecasts, and variances against plan and budget
• Prepare concise, well-structured reports and presentations for management
• Support management reporting and reconcile financial systems
• Assist in creating forecasts and budgets for business leadership
• Analyze trends in revenue, product-line profitability, membership, SG&A, and other business metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
• 1+ years of finance, accounting, or systems experience from postgraduate work or internships
• Proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders within a matrix organization
• Strong MS Excel skills with financial modeling experience
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Location

Salary: USD 60,200 - 107,400 per year

Location: Eden Prairie, MN (hybrid; four in-office days per week)

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 1+ years in finance/accounting or related field
