In addition to base compensation of USD 120,000 – 180,000 per year, there is a $15,000 relocation bonus for moving to the Bay Area and a $10,000 housing bonus for living within close proximity to the SF office.

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on, full-cycle Recruiter to support one of the company’s fastest-growing enterprise divisions. The team provides human-powered AI evaluation and training solutions for major enterprises and leading AI organizations deploying intelligent agents. This is an individual-contributor, zero-to-one opportunity where you will establish the foundation for how the division recruits, with immediate emphasis on delivering hires and maintaining execution velocity.

The environment is fast-paced and high-volume, requiring you to personally source, engage, and close top talent while maintaining accountability to aggressive hiring mandates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruiting for IC and leadership roles across the enterprise, from sourcing to close
  • Recruit across a broad mix of profiles, including Engagement Managers, Strategic Project Leads, Associates, applied AI and code-delivery engineers, account owners, operators, and supporting functions
  • Support hiring across commercial, operations, GTM, finance, business, engineering, applied AI, and related teams as the division grows
  • Drive high-volume sourcing, outbound outreach, candidate calls, pipeline development, interview coordination, offer management, and closing
  • Build top-of-funnel through creative outbound sourcing, referrals, talent mapping, market intelligence, campaigns, and events
  • Partner with company leadership and hiring managers to map needs, define profiles, calibrate hiring standards, and advance searches
  • Translate changing business needs into actionable recruiting strategies and adapt as priorities evolve
  • Evaluate candidates from high-growth startups and other high-talent-density contexts with rigorous hiring standards
  • Assess performance, trajectory, stability, motivation, and adaptability for a high-intensity startup environment
  • Represent the company credibly to senior candidates considering competitive opportunities in tech and AI
  • Communicate the mission, business model, growth path, expectations, and employee value proposition while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience
  • Manage fast-moving interview processes and proactively address compensation, timing, and closing risks
  • Coach hiring managers on structured interviewing, candidate leveling, evidence-based evaluation, and disciplined decision-making
  • Drive same-day debriefs, rapid feedback, expedited offers, and other service-level expectations
  • Build and improve practical recruiting systems while staying deeply involved in daily execution
  • Track and optimize key recruiting metrics, including sourcing, response rates, pass-through, time in stage, time to fill, yield, interview-to-offer, offer acceptance, and fill rates
  • Identify bottlenecks and use data to improve sourcing effectiveness, interview velocity, and hiring quality
  • Collaborate on dashboards, reporting, process automation, and workflow improvements using Ashby and related tools
  • Strengthen the employer brand through candidate campaigns, referrals, events, and market engagement
  • Maintain structure and operational rigor without slowing execution
  • Own hiring outcomes and uphold a high standard of quality, speed, responsiveness, and follow-through

Requirements

  • Proven success owning full-cycle recruiting for IC and leadership roles
  • Execution-focused recruiter who personally sources, conducts outreach, screens, manages interview processes, negotiates offers, and closes
  • Experience in a high-volume recruiting environment with extensive sourcing and candidate outreach
  • History of meeting aggressive timelines while preserving a high talent standard
  • Generalist breadth across commercial, GTM, enterprise sales, account management, operations, finance, business, project leadership, engineering, and applied AI
  • Familiarity with both commercial and technical hiring, including sales, account management, engineering, and applied AI roles
  • Not narrowly specialized in one niche; demonstrated success hiring across multiple functions
  • Experience in high-growth startups or other high-talent-density organizations with rigorous standards
  • Strong sourcing instincts to identify, engage, and close passive candidates
  • Credible, efficient partnership with General Managers, Account Leads, hiring managers, and leadership
  • Ability to build scalable hiring systems and use data to improve outcomes
  • Ability to introduce structure and processes while remaining hands-on in daily recruitment
  • This role emphasizes execution over pure strategy or process design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to represent a fast-growing AI company to senior candidates
  • Proactive, high-motor, outcome-oriented working style with urgency across multiple searches
  • Comfort with ambiguity, evolving requirements, shifting priorities, and occasional long hours
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, accountability, responsiveness, and follow-through
  • Evidence of stable tenure and meaningful impact; occasional shorter tenures are understandable, but repeated sub-2-year roles are a concern
  • Familiarity with Ashby or the ability to quickly adopt new recruiting tools and workflows
  • Willingness to work in person in San Francisco five days per week; NYC consideration for exceptional candidates
